Number 1 game for men

1. Crysis (PC)

Crysis represents the peak of first-person shooter evolution. Your jaw will drop from the moment you set foot on the beautifully rendered remote Pacific Island where the game is set. You’re out of luck if you don’t have Direct X10, Windows Vista and a high-end PC. But if you do, you’re in for a visually stunning treat.

The game is set in 2020 and the plot revolves around an alien invasion. When an archaeological team is captured by North Koreans on a remote island, you’re sent in as part of a US Special Forces team to rescue the unfortunate scientists. Crysis is a “sandbox” game, much like game developer Crytek’s previous offering, Far Cry. Each level is incredibly open-ended, and there are many ways you can accomplish your objectives.

One unique feature of the game is your nanosuit. This outer skin not only protects you from damage, but also gives you superhuman abilities, such as enhanced speed, agility, and strength. Don’t let your superpowers lull you into a premature god complex, however. The enemy AI is pretty top-notch, and the game rewards fast thinking and innovation when it comes to making the kill.

Overall, Crysis is a giant leap ahead for the genre and should be played by all—even if that means hogging the souped-up PC at your buddy’s house. Beyond the pretty graphics, the game is solid, the voice acting is darn good, and you’ll get a decent ten hours of solid play.
