Metallica has been accused of a lot of things lately—getting old, selling out, etc. But what the world seems to forget is that Metallica released an album in 1983 that knocked the socks off the world—Kill ‘Em All.
Kill ‘Em All is what started it all for the then-thrash metal titans. But even then their egos were evident. In “Whiplash,” one of the most famous songs off the album, lead singer James Hetfield sings, “We’ll never stop, we’ll never quit; ‘cause we’re Metallica!”
Rock and metal fans alike can appreciate Kill ‘Em All, and for many it brings them back to an adolescence of head banging and arguing over who was better: Metallica or Megadeth. |
