Number 1 book for men

1. Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman

Richard Mayhew’s life has become stable, content and more or less routine. He’s an average young Londoner with a decent office job and a bossy fiancé.  Then one evening, he helps a young girl named Lady Door who’s bleeding on the sidewalk. But this one act of kindness spins Richard’s simple life out of control. Lady Door is in danger—she’s being chased by mysterious murderers, and Richard vows to protect her. In his journey, he discovers London Below, a whole world of magical and terrifying creatures living quietly underground. He meets angels, hunters and people who speak to rats; he travels through tunnels, across the Night’s Bridge and into the Floating Market.

But when Richard tries to return home, he finds that his apartment, his fiancé, his whole life, is no longer his—he is invisible. Richard must decide whether to return to the London Below or find a way to survive alone in the home he’s always known.

Best-known for his graphic novels The Sandman, fantasy-author Neil Gaiman weaves two contrasting worlds into one with well-developed characters and beautiful imagery.
